The Water Hiking Trail

The Water Hiking Trail

The lure of water – still water, flowing waters... Goethe felt that lure – “Halb zog sie ihn, halb sank er hin” (“She drew him in, he just relaxed”) – and there’s a lot to see!

Water – known since the ancient Greeks to be the very essence of life: here you can follow it, listen to it, delight in it in all its forms – springs and streams, waterfalls, raindrops, swamp and marshland. Get to know the wildlife to whom the water is home – the newts, the frogs and toads, dragonflies, trout... Roam the river meadows, clamber up rocky little canyons.

If you get a rainy day, the Water Hiking Trail is brilliant!

We have a leaflet to tell you all about it.
