Sightseeing

Hittisau has many things to be proud of. Anyone can see that. The main visitor attractions, both natural and man-made, are a lively reflection of the community, its historical past and its present-day activity. Come and wonder at the works of Nature – such as the  Engenloch Gorge, or the Nagelfluh and Hittisberg mountains; and marvel too at the works of human hands – the  Parish Church, the chapels, ancient and modern architecture in wood, museums and exhibitions, everyday farming life and manual skills. Guided tours of the village are announced under the title “Hittisau – ein starkes Stück” (Hittisau – a Very Special Place).
