Architecture
When you commission a new building, you state the requirements, but it’s the architects who create satisfying visual form. Building work is done to meet specific needs. Such needs are universal, but the way in which they are met will (wherever possible) be regional. That means inventive, innovative and natural. It means the use of centuries-old techniques and well-tried ingredients: craft skills and wood, sureness of touch and an alert brain. As a result, we have buildings that were a sensation, and still make this region a magnet for architects and connoisseurs from all over the world as they come to see the Hittisau Women’s Museum, the domestic architecture and the craft workshops.
